Our Planet Policy

'Saving the planet' has become cliched and abused as a concept.
It raises many complex issues and involves careful values
assessment. We remain focused on taking measures to minimise
any adverse impact of our actions on the environment.

There can be no 'greenwash'. We will not involve ourselves in 'papering
over' unethical practices in favour of short-term gain. Long-term
sustainable success will come from responsible attitudes to our people
and environment.

However, we must be realistic. We can't 'Save the Planet' alone. Making significant strides will, of course, need concerted efforts from industry and governments across the world. As a result, we will continue to support chartities with an international voice capable of challenging those who have the power and responsibility to make the necessary changes in philosophy and deed.
